Indochine: Stellenbosch

 Indochine: Stellenbosch

There're no flies on this one.    I could write a book and call it "a hundred places to eat before you die" Indochine would probably take top honours. This is my second visit and I was as overwhelmed, excited, impressed as the first time! It's just amazing and everyone should go there at least once in a lifetime. The architecture is great, fthe view unsurpassed, we had the most fantastic sunset ever (and I know my sunsets). The Art inside and out gives me a knot in my stomach it's so beautiful. A magnificent sculpture has been suspended from the ceiling, a flock of swallows, that alone could've done it for me, I cricked my neck, couldn't keep my eyes off it! Now the menu, amazing, fantastic, I can't call the flavours anything but purfumed infusions. We enjoyed every morsel, must admit we did overdo on our selection but we have no conscience! Every course was a culinary masterpiece. I just have to mention the finishing touch. My camomile tea was served perfectly, with a timer mind... had to be infused for exactly 3 minutes so when the last grain of sand ran out I could sip my tea in contented wonderment. The staff are all well trained, friendly, professional and ordinary guys like you and me
