Travelling with Audiobooks

Travelling with Audiobooks

The first thing we do when we go anywhere out of town is pack our iPod to listen to Audiobooks. For some reason we've never been successful when it comes to the car radio, that aerial just remains dodgy!

I joined  www.audible.co.uk  years ago and eagerly await my very affordable subscription each month.  A very organised, user friendly site and their service is excellent too.   Books on offer are varied, up to date, and there are thousands of excellent books to choose from.  The star rating system is great and I've found the reviews excellent.  Not only can you choose from a variety of books but, if one likes a spesific reader one can easily find his other reads too.    Books purchased become one's property and may be downloaded at any time, there is no time constraint.I've got earphones on my shopping list, nice big, bright,  wireless ones this time, not those awful little earbuds, I'm sure I'll get a fine pair in Singapore next week.   We'll take our iPod with us on our trip, it made our train journeys in India last year, we could still enjoy the views and "read" all at the same time.  Unfortunately we had to share the earplugs, so I had the left one, not my best side and not Precious' good side either, he has cauliflower ears!  Oh the joys!
