Eat: Hemel and Aarde

Eat your heart out.  What a pleasant surprise! Right in the heart of the Hemel and Aarde Village a restuarant with soul. Intimate seating arrangements in separate rooms, outside dining for warm, sultry days and evenings. The entire family can be accommodated, even the children will feel at home. Concise menu, covers a range of cuisines, from Asian fusion food to PizzasThe staff are friendly, accommodating and knowledgable. We loved the tempura prawns for starters. My pork belly was scrumptious and I'll be back for that. The rump steak with marrow bones and a red wine jus looked delicious and there were nods all around confirming this. The hamburger looked divine, good home made patty and with all the freshest trimmings. Seafood was a winner. Unfortunately we didn't indulge in the dessert menu, but the choices looked good and I had to drag myself away and use all my will power not to tuck into one of the delicious choices.The wine list was comprehensive, good to see a well balanced selection of local wines. We'll be back for sure.
