A Dash Of Autumn
Three weeks done and dusted! Ok! so it’s not so great considering I have another 49 to go. Eish, it is a tall order and today’s not my best day, considering it’s Fabulous Friday, my favourite day. I’ve overdosed on Anti-histamine and I would rather sleep than do anything else.
What I need is motivation so a quick quote will have to do, and it has to be from someone who was really depressed, someone who knew what he was talking about.
Ah, Sylvia Plath says it so well:
“I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in my life. And I am horribly limited.
Autumn is my theme today, let’s see what I got.
What I realise:
- Take a different route sometimes
- The way we see things isn’t always as bright as they are
- When it’s autumn here it’s spring somewhere else
- Use it or lose it – the dome I used to photograph the tomatoes with isn’t mine, I found it in my kitchen, someone’s going to claim it, so I used it.
- No matter how “square” something is it distorts from a different angle.
- Tomorrow the sun rises in a different colour.
- Visitors’ books, are a reminder that days are good.
“I felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of scenery—air, mountains, trees, people. I thought, "This is what it is to be happy.” ― Sylvia Plath, The Bell Jar. It is after all a conscious decision we have to make to be positive and “happy”!
Just a little brag: My photograph “Silver Forks” featured in the 20th Day Blog has won an award, it was voted #3 for the day on PIXOTO! Not bad I say.
