Butch’s Request

Hi faithful readers, followers of my blogs or first timers.  We need to pick your well travelled, adventurous brains.

We are getting excited about our adventure into Africa, which we hope will commence in the next few weeks.

One of the things we have picked up in reading various blogs by others who have done such trips, is the value of contacts when arriving in foreign towns/countries, whether it be to find a place to park the Badger, or a referral to a good trustworthy mechanic, electrician or a wheel fundi (we've had our fair share of problems with those), or tips and tricks about good roads vs bad roads. Places of special interest or places to avoid. Tips on off the beaten track gems or tourist traps. Your favourite destination or the pitstop you loathed and would avoid at all costs!  We love anything culinary, tips on street food, markets or shopping centers to stock up on essentials would be great too. 

We are therefore asking if you have any friends/contacts anywhere in Africa, please respond to this message by sending that person’s name and contact details to us and maybe a bit of relevant information.

We will NOT abuse this, but it could become very important. We don't want to end up being two Nincompoops stuck in the wilderness.
