Chandani Indian & Vegetarian Restaurant Cape Town

Spice up your day and do a trip to Roodebloem road wouldn't be complete without ending up at this lovely restaurant, A glammed up Victorian house situated in the heart of Woodstock. Rich purples, reds and silver were used to create the decor. I loved the fact that the restauranteur welcomed us heartily and advised us on our selections and her husband the chef makes each dish himself, which made us feel like old friends coming to dine at their haveli. We loved our starters tiny morsels, well prepared, the naan bread was delicious and every course was a taste sensation. Portions are well proportioned, appealing and mouthwatering, we simply couldn't wait to get stuck in.Our guests were very impressed as they dine out on Indian cuisine at least once a week (a buffet! say no more) and claim to know their chillies! In my opinion Indian desserts aren't too impressive but I'll have to concede our selections weren't shabby at all. We selected various flavours with each course so that we could sample all the different options and weren't disappointed at all. All the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Not only was the food excellent, the bill was affordable too. I'm thinking of all sorts of reasons to return, won't be too difficult I'm sure. Hope to see you there.
