Ryan's Kitchen: Franschoek

The cherry on my birthday cake -  is a Ryanstone.  My meal here was a visual and culinary feast par excellance. Sadly it seems as if Ryan and his wife Svetlana have closed the doors at their current venue in the Main Road, a beautiful old Cape Dutch Homestead, well appointed diningroom and my very best, an open kitchen, so diners can see exactly what's happening there, be assured it's one of the most professional kitchen I've seen, runs like a well oiled machine. We had a scrumptious dinner, an experience we'll not forget for many moons. Loved the offering from the lab" test tubes filled with delicious soups"  But we wish them well and hope we'll see them somewhere else cooking up a storm.Fortunately I've just seen this on little notice which I give you with joy:

Dear colleagues, friends and fellow Franschhoek residents,

Following a tumultuous last couple of weeks, and due to circumstances beyond our control, it is with some regret and sadness, that we announce that Ryan's Kitchen will be closing at its current premises on the 31st July, 2014.

The new owners of the property have their own development plans and it was finally decided yesterday between the parties that we part amicably. We will be taking a much needed short break and Ryan's Kitchen will be returning but this time in a new, bigger venue ready to serve the same innovative exciting food that our valued guests have come to expect.
We intend remaining here in Franschhoek and will keep you updated on progress regarding the brand new Ryan's Kitchen!
We thank you for and much appreciate your support and look forward to our relationship continuing into the future.

With kind regards

So, as soon as we hear they're up and running we'll be there for another mouth-watering, jaw-dropping experience!   Bravo![photo id="5"}UPDATE:  I saw an article written by Ryan to say they've found a new location in Franschoek and will be back in business in the not too distant future, I'm sure for summer they'll be up and running.   Good, I can't wait to make a reservation.  The break will have served as an excellent time for Ryan to rest and get inspired to cook up a storm.
