Whooping For A Hoopoe

Whoop-whoop. Our resident African Hoopoe is back. He’s up to his old tricks and I’m thrilled. Today I was ready for him. He makes his daily appearance at about 10H00 every morning and nothing deters him. My contributions today are just him. He has all my attention, exclusively.  While clacks I'll click

Used my longest lens, got as close as possible without chasing him off to greener pastures. Here he is digging in the lawn for grubs. Just as I was going to pack up my camera he got what he was looking for and I manage to get one shot. It isn’t all that sharp but what the hell, it made the waiting worth it.
